The Yawalapiti people habitate the south region of Xingu Indigenous Park belonging to the "Alto Xingu", a group of different tribes that are part of an exchange network and share many traditions, weddings ceremonies and rituals. The art of this region is very rich in graphisms and contrasting colours. They have a great variety of glass beaded art, ceramic, tucum natural fiber hammock, taquara mat and bakestry. They also produce beautiful snail and tucum nut necklaces.
